Community Council Minutes

February 27, 2019

1. Review on Internet Safety conducted by Lynn Raymond and Ryan James from WSD Tech Services:

  • Child Internet Protection Act (CIPA) lessons for grades k-6 are used to educate elementary students on Interenet Safety.
  • Web filtered through iBoss (2 filters) and Palo Alto. If both filters fail internet access will shut down.
  • Chrome books from the school are also filtered when in use at home. 

2. Discusssed and Reveiwed Proposed School LAND Trust Budget:

  • Proposed changes include purchasing another set of chrome books for 3rd grade (appx. 42)
  • Proposal to send one teacher from each grade to attend the PLC conference in October 2019 (appx. $7,000)

3. Crystal Woolsey motioned to approve the plan as listed. Darcee Felt seconded motion to approve the plan as listed.
