Welcome & Introductions: Kristyn welcomed the group and offered the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes (Keri): Minutes were approved online and posted.
Principal’s Report: (Sherry)
- District is moving to PLC
- Moving collaboratively to help students who are behind or in the gaps.
- Safety is a number one concern at district and at NOJH
- Safety Trainings at the school
- Safety inspections by the district
- Single Access Entry Point
- It is better to be safe than convenient
- Sherry will work with District to determine if a back door could be open/staffed at drop off
- Surveillance/Observation
- Parking lots are creating safety concerns.
- Parents need to pull all the way forward and students should be ready to get out efficiently.
- Stay in correct lane for drop off
- Will look at other drop off options (lower lot)
- Scooters and bikes a concern as well
- No more food drop offs (Uber Eats, etc)
- PTSA can help share the positive/supportive message
- We need a voice not an echo
Counselor’s Report: (Jackie)
- HOPE Week plans are in the works
- Character Ed lessons have started
- PCCRs with 8th graders will begin soon
Treasurer’s Report : (Kami)
- Reviewed funds received and expenditures
- Kristyn presented budget for 2022-2023 year with changes to PTC Dinners, Teacher Appreciation, Stomps, HOPE Week
- Marlisa moved to approve
- Keri seconded that motion
- Kristyn will send an email encouraging t-shirt orders
- Will include Google form for PTSA info
President’s Report (Kristyn)
- HOPE Week
- Try It Knight 10/6/22 from 4:30-7:00
- Planning Mtg with Orion on Sept 14 at 9:00
- Mobile Escape Room, Climbing Wall
- Reflections
- Due Oct 24
