Welcome & Introductions: Kristyn welcomed the group and offered the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes (Keri): Minutes were approved online and posted.
Principal’s Report: (Sherry)
- District Safety Meeting by cones
- Weber County Sheriff addressed safety issues
- Assessment of NOJH
- Walk by doors to ensure they are closed
- Looking at buzz-in entry system
- Safety supplies in the classrooms
- Form school-level safety committee led by Sherry
- Lunchtime Procedures:
- Minimizing space where students are unsupervised
- Looking at improving processes
- Intramurals in gym are going well
- Audio enhancements for classrooms
- New versions have a panic or medical emergency button
- Piloting the program at WHS before implementing at other schools
- Current system runs through the PA
- New system could cost up to $50,000
- Looking at safety related grants
- USBOE School Safety Pilot Program Grant-Sherry
- Technology improvements
- Looking at safety related grants
- Substitute training: Sherry will check on process to ensure subs have safety information
- Admin, counselors, and teachers working to welcome students daily
- Mental health team meets regularly to discuss plans and observations
- Administrative interns are coming in over the next few months
- District will look at needs of schools to determine who goes where
- District Collaborative Leadership Groups (PLC process) is working well and will get more focus this year.

- Valentine’s Day Stomp - Kirstyn will work to choose day/time

- 690 this year, up from 61 in 2020, 619 in 2021
- Doughnut Day
- Look at options to distribute doughnuts to those in need
- Wristbands?
- This could include admission ticket to the V-day stomp
- No December Meeting
