We are so excited to announce our newest organization at NOJH, Latinos In Action!

Latinos In Action (LIA) offers an asset-based approach to bridging the graduation and opportunity gap for Latino students, working from within the educational system to create positive change. Our LIA class had a visit with Dr. Jose Enriquez who is the founder of LIA. The goal of LIA is to empower Latino youth to lead and strengthen their communities through college and career readiness. They accomplish this by focusing on four pillars: leveraging personal and cultural assets, excelling in education, serving the community, and developing leadership skills.

This year so far they have been able to complete many service projects, tutor students at the local elementary, and go on educational field trips! We can't wait to see more great things they accomplish this school year.
