How not to stress about the RISE and ASPIRE + Tests
~ Test Taking Strategies:
1. Don’t tackle questions in chronological order if they're slowing you down. Categorize questions into three buckets:
**Now: Easy questions you can solve in seconds.
**Later: Questions you know how to do but will take time.
**Last: Questions that are less familiar or totally unknown = use methods below to answer these questions.
2. On end-of-level testing, it is often easier to find the three wrong answers than the one right one. Eliminate the options you know are incorrect to reduce mental clutter.
3. Manage Your "Reading Stamina": For the Reading and Science sections, don't get bogged down in the technical jargon. Read for the main idea and the author’s tone, then use the line references in the questions to hunt for specific details.
4. Since there is no "guessing penalty," never leave a bubble blank. Pick a favorite letter combination (e.g., A/F or C/H) and use it whenever you truly don’t know the information. Only use blind guessing when you have used all other options to answer the question. If you do need to guess, using this method statistically increases your chances of picking up a few extra points compared to random bubbling.

YOU WILL BE READY!

Dear Parents & Guardians,
The safety of your children is always our greatest concern. Over the past several years, our school has implemented multiple measures to strengthen building security. One of these measures includes a secure, single-point entry designed to help us closely monitor who enters the school.
While many of you are familiar faces, there are also individuals we may not know who come to our campus. To further enhance security, we will now require all visitors to show identification before entering the building. This step helps ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed inside.
Even when we recognize someone, identification will still be required. Circumstances can change, and there are times when custodial arrangements, court orders, emergency contact lists, trespass notices, or protective orders may affect who is permitted on school grounds. Verifying identification allows us to confirm each visitor’s status, ensures students are only released to authorized individuals, and helps us maintain accurate records of who is in the building in the event of an emergency. Most importantly, it helps us to better protect your children.
We recognize this change may cause some inconvenience, but we believe accountability and student safety must always come first. We appreciate your patience and kindness toward our office staff as we implement this important security measure. Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work together to keep our school safe.
THANK YOU ~ ADMIN & OFFICE STAFF
